Small Business Success Story: BCK Ranch

Ryan shares how BCK Ranch started and where it's headed, in Nav's Small Business Success Stories series (Nav (@Navsmb)).

Why we started

For our family, clean eating is a way of life. During a pregnancy, Taryn developed a food allergy that made most industrially farmed produce hard for her to eat. We started BCK Ranch to grow the kind of vegetables we wanted on our own table, and to help other families like ours get better veggies.

How we grow

We grow our microgreens indoors and hydroponically from certified organic, non-GMO seed, with no pesticides, no herbicides and no harmful chemicals. Every Friday we harvest, and we deliver Saturday and Sunday, so the greens reach you fresh. Alongside microgreens we grow hydroponic lettuces for our salads, and we freeze-dry some of our harvest into pantry-friendly jars.

Who we grow for

Today we supply homes, restaurants, private chefs and grocery stores across Montgomery County and the Greater Houston area. You'll also find us at local farmers markets. We'd love to grow our reach across Texas.

We started BCK Ranch in August 2022.
